She had to “borrow” (steal) her cousin’s Christmas tree for a small party at her family
We had to borrow a Christmas tree for our promotion lol.. It was a crisp December evening, and the air in the apartment was filled with the faint scent of pine and the muffled hum of holiday tunes. Except... there wasn’t a single festive decoration in sight.

That’s when she had her “brilliant” idea. You see, her family had decided to host a small party last minute, but there was one glaring problem: no Christmas tree. No twinkling lights, no ornaments, no tinsel—just a blank, tree-less corner where holiday cheer should have been. She glanced out the window, her eyes narrowing as she spotted her cousin’s apartment across the way

. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree gleamed through the glass, practically mocking her predicament. That’s when the thought struck her: "What if I… borrowed it?” Now, some would call it “theft,” but in her mind, this was merely an act of creative resourcefulness.

.

She wasn’t stealing it per se—just temporarily relocating it for a better cause. Besides, she reasoned, her cousin wasn’t even home tonight. Armed with nothing but a mischievous grin and a flimsy alibi for later, she snuck into the building. The heist was almost laughably simple.

Within minutes, the tree was in her arms, ornaments jingling with every step as she hauled it back to her own apartment. It was a masterpiece of improvisation. Her family burst into laughter when they saw her dragging in the tree, bits of tinsel trailing behind her like a festive breadcrumb trail.

.

“What in the world are you doing?” they asked, between bouts of laughter. “I’m practicing for my Grinch Who Stole Christmas cosplay,” she replied with a sly grin. “But don’t worry, this tree’s just on loan!” The party was a success—cheerful, cozy, and filled with laughter under the glow of the “borrowed” tree.

As for her cousin? Well, let’s just say that an extra box of cookies and a heartfelt apology made sure the tree returned to its rightful home the next morning. It wasn’t exactly a hallmark holiday moment, but hey, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a little bit of mischief, right?
